Green Bean Porridge.

Ingredients:
90g green beans
140ml thick coconut milk
560ml thin coconut milk
2 tbsps sugar to taste
2 tbsps chopped palm sugar
pinch of salt
2 screwpine leaves

Method:
1. Soak green beans for an hour. Strain & boil with thin coconut milk & salt.
2. When green beans become soft, add sugar & screwpine leaves.
3. When sugar has dissolved,add thick coconut milk.
4. Cook until the mixture boils.
5. Serve in hot.



Black Glutinous Rice Porridge.

Ingredients:
2 tbsps black glutinous rice
140ml thick coconut milk
560ml thin coconut milk
4 tbsps sugar to taste
2 screwpine leaves-knotted
pinch of salt.





Method:
1. Boil black glutinous rice with thin coconut milk. When coconut boils, lower the fire & simmer for 1/2 hour until the rice is soft.
2. Add sugar & screwpine leaves. Taste. When the sugar is dissolved,remove screwpine leaves.
3. Mix thick coconut milk with a pinch of salt. Serve the porridge separately in a bowl.
