Mutton & Green Peppers

Ingredients:
500 gm mutton
6 green peppers (capsicums)
5 tbsps oil
1/2 tsp cummin
1 tsp chillies powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp Masala salt
500 gm potatoes
1/2 cup yogurt
1 tsp sugar
1 bunch coriander leaves
6 cloves garlic*
2.5 cm piece ginger*
12 shallots*
*grind to a paste
1 large tomato
Salt to taste

Method:
1. Heat oil in a deep pan or pressure cooker. Add cummin seeds.
2. When crackling,add mutton until brown well.
3. Add the ground spices & chillies powder,turmeric,Masala salt & sugar. Fry for a few minutes.
4. Add capsicum & potatoes & fry for another 5 minutes. Add the yogurt & cook for a few minutes,then mix the gravvy thoroughly.
5. Add 2 cups water & simmer over low heat or under pressure until the meat is tender. Serve with garnishing coriander leaves.
